In the 15 years that Triple E has been in existence, we have not only conceived and advised great concepts and products to our customers, but we have often put our ideas into practice. Sometimes with success, sometimes with less success, but always groundbreaking. Thinking and doing always go hand in hand for us.

In recent years, in terms of implementation, the focus has been entirely on the Brickz product, for which we now have a European patent and for which we have also won the European Inspiration Award from the EU. Over the years, however, it has also become clear that the production of the Brickz requires a special environment. And that’s why we came up with the phytorefinery concept, developed it and put it into practice in our greenhouse in Huissen.

Here we make Brickz, grow mycorrhizae, grow trees, produce our own Tompost based on residual flows from nature reserves or the cultivation of amaryllis and we carry out countless studies, including into the use of saline dredging. It’s a place like no other, and that especially applies to the mycoretum: our own ecosystem where we grow fungi for the Brickz. But it is also a place that has also slowly grown into the ideal reception location and meeting place.

At the end of 2021, however, it will slowly but surely become clear that in the coming years we will not only be pushing our boundaries in a metaphorical sense, but also literally. From the many contacts we have, it becomes clear that there is not only great interest in the Brickz but also in the concept of phytorefinery (a word that we came up with ourselves and that we have registered as intellectual property, just like the word ‘mycoretum’).

And so 2022 will literally be a groundbreaking year. We know this for sure because many actions are already being taken in December 2021 that focus on this. In fact, it will be so busy that a Christmas holiday will unfortunately not be in it. But we will certainly end the year with a bang and we will dive into 2022 in good spirits.
