A particularly remarkable statement for those who are older and know the enormous social damage caused by polluted water in the 1960s and 1970s. Nevertheless, Natuurmonumenten Triple E commissioned a study to calculate the benefits of cleaning up Dutch surface waters. It turned out that the effects on real estate, tourism, and recreation were particularly significant. But savings in drinking water treatment and healthcare were also considerable. The book was handed over to Minister Veerman of Agriculture.
