For Geldersch Landschap en Kasteelen, we developed the concept of ‘The Green Court of Gelre’, recorded in a book of the same name. The book was presented at the celebration of 90 years of GLK and handed out to all attendees.
The Fiber2Fiber project is launched. With a rare powerful alliance, Natural Soil Improvement is embarking on research into the possible degradation of asbestos and PFAS using mycorrhiza and the complete conversion and neutralisation of WWTP sludge using fungi and miscanthus. Partners are: Paper and Cardboard Knowledge Centre, NIOO-KNAW, Westerdijk Institute-KNAW, SGI Compliance, Grondslag and Water Board Drents Overijsselse Delta.
Fitting into the era of major projects, two new major projects in the Brickz area are also being launched. The first is 3BCT, in which NSI focuses on developing Brickz based on residual streams from beer production, on which hops are then grown again. The second project is ‘Sustainable with ease’, aimed at reusing paper disposables and converting them into Brickz.
